Microsoft Corporationは、リモートデスクトップ接続アプリ「Windows App」をアップデート、Mac向け最新バージョン「Windows App 11.4.2」をリリースしました。

今回のバージョンアップでは、ローカルのパスワードレス資格情報を使用し、セッション中のWebAuthn チャレンジを完了するためのサポートなど、いくつかのサポートの追加や、安定性の向上などがおこなわれています。

「Windows App 11.4.2」の新機能

In this release we made the following updates:

• Added support for completing in-session WebAuthn challenges by using local passwordless credentials.
• Added external identity support.
• Made updates to support macOS 27.
• Updated the UX to replace “Frontline” with “Flex Dedicated” and “Frontline Shared” with “Flex Shared”.
• Improved the Quick Launcher shortcut recording experience.
• Improved camera resource handling when closing a session window.
• Fixed a crash caused by a race between smart card redirection and session teardown.

In addition, we’ve also made numerous behind-the-scenes updates to improve performance and stability, and to lay the groundwork for some upcoming features.
